Preserving my “W/J” initials, the Wasting July brand seeks to celebrate the imaginative approach of my body of work, creative process, and visual aesthetic.
Immediately, I thought of that peculiar time of year around my birth month (July) – when sleepy, summer afternoons and endless, moonlit nights spark curiosity, bravery, and a lust for deeper understanding.
In choosing to surrender to the sticky heat, cosmic skies, and crashing waves of the salty sea, I can discover tiny treasures of forbidden truths, bold histories, and austere beauty – like the glimmering detritus on a burning beach, wasting away in July.

As a visual storyteller, I am well-versed at setting creative direction and producing multimedia content that captivates audiences.
My professional career has taught me effective collaboration practices across multiple learning styles, communication models, and career levels. When utilizing my multidisciplinary background and strategic approach, I am able to reliably take the images and worlds around me and bring them to life through animation, illustration, and video.
My style utilizes digital, graphic illustration to produce diverse character designs, futuristic worlds, and cosmic landscapes. I'm endlessly inspired by classic cel animation, fantasy/sci-fi, and cerebral/mystery genres.
Creating innovative, illuminating, and restorative stories is my passion – striving to unfold a revelatory story or meaningful truth. With each passing chapter or scene, there is newfound space, language, and knowledge woven through authentic characters, forgotten places, and moreover, a commitment to equitable and responsible storytelling.
